This project is a study in working through collage boards and draping on the form to develop design ideas. The theme is Art and Anarchy. I was inspired by the community gardens within dense urban areas. This collection is meant to honor the artistic people and anarchist culture of Oakland, CA.

Many people think of violent protests when they think anarchy but my belief is the most radical thing people can do to resist an oppressive system is become self sufficient through practices like growing their own organic food. Through out my neighborhood in the East Bay, there are beautiful gardens juxtaposed against vivid and dynamic graffiti art. Graffiti is an anarchist form of expression and it makes forgotten gray spaces of the city vibrant and beautiful to me.  I took these two ideas and combined them; Flowers meets Graffiti.
